Deze attractie is gesloten tot nader order.
This traditional Holland tour takes you to an unspoilt region of the Netherlands. Witness the incredible daily operations of the world’s largest flower market, discover the Kaag lakes by boat and visit an authentic windmill and a traditional Dutch cheese farm. Enjoy a full day experience that includes tours by bus, boat and foot. You will explore the region where the largest number of flowers for the world export grow and where you can find the most windmills that still operate.
Your traditional Holland tour will depart from THIS IS HOLLAND and takes you from 21 March till 10 May to the famous Keukenhof, the most beautiful spring garden in the world! Learn more about the tulips and other flowers during a 2-hour private tour. 19 March and from 11 May till 28 September you visit Flora Holland Rijnsburg. Here you will get to go behind the scenes to witness the hustle and bustle at one of the world’s largest flower auctions. No description can do justice to the incredible sea of flowers being sold here and the complexity that comes with it. Some say it is like seeing a giant puzzle that must be solved before the clock runs out. From a viewing room above the giant warehouse you can see the logistics as trolley carts transport thousands of flowers to be shipped out the same afternoon, all over the world.
After that you will go on a two hour scenic boat ride through the Kaag Lakes. An area with beautiful nature that has not yet been discovered by tourists. This region is home to the largest number of working windmills in all of Holland. The boat ride will pass by some of the most important windmills that have helped control the water levels. The Kaag Lakes is an incredible example of Dutch hydraulic engineering, which you will see first-hand as you have the chance to explore the inside of an authentic Dutch windmill. During the boat ride you will also be served a typical Dutch lunch that you can enjoy while looking at the picturesque landscape of South Holland.
The boat tour will end in Noordwijk, a scenic coastal town that is well known for its beautiful beaches. You will then take a bus ride along the Noordwijk boulevard. On the way to an authentic Dutch cheese farm, you’ll get to see the North Sea as well. At the farm, people honour the century old tradition of cheesemaking and you can observe the process of cheesemaking. Taste the delicacies and pick your favourite one to take back home to your loved ones.
In short, this traditional Holland tour: Windmills, Flowers & Hidden Treasures is a perfect combination between history and unspoilt regions. Would you rather travel independently in the Dutch countryside? Click here for more information about the Hop On Hop Off Volendam, Edam & Zaanse Schans tour.
